This experience offers two adventures: a helicopter ride and a snowshoeing tour in the Canadian Rockies.
Description
Meet near the David Thompson Highway and board a helicopter for an aerial tour of the Rockies, featuring stunning glaciers, rugged canyons, and cascading waterfalls. Upon landing, begin an hour-long snowshoe hike in the winter landscape. Depending on weather conditions, explore either Landslide Lake or other areas showcasing the beauty of the Rocky Mountains. Enjoy snowshoeing, which is suitable for beginners, and warm up with a cup of hot chocolate. The entire experience lasts for about an hour and 20 minutes, concluding back at the starting point.
Visit Abraham Lake
For an enhanced experience, opt for the Abraham Lake addition, which includes a 20-minute helicopter ride and a one-hour snowshoeing tour, followed by an additional hour and a half at Abraham Lake, Alberta’s largest man-made reservoir. This location is known for a unique phenomenon where methane gas from the lake bottom forms bubbles trapped in ice, creating a striking landscape.
