Hike Overview
We will convene at your assigned location at 933R North Rd before embarking on our journey to Duder Regional Park. This expansive park covers 148 hectares and features a variety of landscapes, from rugged cliffs to lush forests. Let's begin our adventure!
This guided excursion will lead you through diverse terrains and hidden coves. Throughout the tour, we will uncover the historical significance of the area while relishing breathtaking views. Our first stop will be at Maraetai Beach, where we can take a brief break and capture the beauty of the turquoise waters from the jetty.
Next, we will proceed into Duder Regional Park, embarking on the Duder Coastal Clifftop Trail. Here, you'll be treated to remarkable vistas of the Hauraki Gulf. As we traverse through farmland to various viewpoints, our guide will provide fascinating insights into the geology and conservation initiatives of the region. Should time permit, we may even reach the stunning Whakakaiwhara Point Peninsula.
In total, after about 4 hours of hiking and enjoying the magnificent scenery, we will return to our transport and head back to one of the designated meeting points in Auckland. Looking forward to seeing you again soon!
