Clorinda & Pilcomayo River Tour
At 7:30 am, we'll meet at Roque Saenz Peña Avenue in Clorinda for a panoramic tour of the city in the Argentinian province of Formosa. The tour will cover the history of Clorinda’s main monuments, including the parishes of Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles, San Juan Bautista, and San José Esposo de María.
Mid-morning, we will have a light snack in the center of Clorinda before heading to the banks of the Pilcomayo River. Participants can choose between a kayak, a canoe, or a rowboat for the paddling tour. The first part of the paddle tour lasts 2 hours, with stops every 30 minutes to rest and observe the native fauna, which includes Formosan birds, howler monkeys, mountain foxes, coatis, and river otters. This segment concludes with a picnic featuring a typical Formosan dish.
After lunch, there will be an opportunity to fish in the river, followed by an additional hour of paddling. Afterwards, we'll drive to the El Porteño neighborhood for a snack that includes cocido quemado and other local specialties. The tour concludes with a return to the meeting point, arriving between 4 and 5 pm.
