Bukovina 2 Day Tour

Day 1: Cluj - Bistri?a - Vorone? - Gura Humorului

After picking you up from your hotel at 9 am, we'll leave Cluj behind and set off to the Bukovina region of Romania.

The first stop will be Bistri?a, a picturesque city in the foothills of the Bârg?u Mountains. We'll enjoy a short guided tour of the historic medieval town and have lunch in a local restaurant for a taste of traditional Romanian cuisine.

We'll then visit Vorone? to see one of the most famous painted churches of Moldavia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its intense blue colour and well-preserved 16th century frescoes.

Next, we'll head to the village of Moldovi?a, home to a well-known museum dedicated to beautifully painted eggs. After the museum visit, we'll travel to Gura Humorului for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 2: Humor Monastery - Moldovi?a - Pojorâta - Cluj

Day two begins with a visit to the Humor Monastery, a 16th century painted church with well-preserved frescoes. Next, we will visit Moldovi?a Monastery, notable for its murals painted by Toma de Suceava in 1537, depicting significant historical events.

We'll take the Transrarau Road through the Rarau Mountains for spectacular views of the landscapes and unique rock formations of the Eastern Carpathians.

Our final stop will be in Pojorâta for a delicious lunch of local delicacies before returning to Cluj. You'll be dropped off at your hotel around 6 pm.

This two-day tour includes one night's accommodation in a guest house in Bukovina: Varvara or Casa Humor depending on availability.
