Maramures 2 Day Tour

Day 1: Cluj - C?line?ti - Breb

Pick up from your hotel in Cluj at 9 am to begin the tour to Maramure? County. After a three-hour drive, the first stop is C?line?ti, where we will visit the C?line?ti Susani Church, known for its 18th-century frescoes. Next, we head to Breb, characterized by medieval architecture and craftsmanship. Enjoy a meal of traditional Romanian cuisine before spending the night in a guesthouse.

Day 2: S?pân?a - Bârsana - Cluj

The second day begins with a visit to the Merry Cemetery in S?pân?a, famous for its colorful headstones and hand-carved crosses, a tradition started in 1935. Following this, we will explore two UNESCO World Heritage wooden churches in Maramure?: Bârsana and Poienile Izei. Lunch will be offered, including a chance to try palinka, a local liqueur. The final stop will be Vâltori to see traditional natural washing machines. We will return to Cluj, with drop-off at your hotel around 6 pm after two days in Maramure?.
