Pilgrims were captivated by the magnificent Cluny Abbey, which was the largest Christian church in the world until St. Peter's Basilica was built. The Abbey's Romanesque architecture inspired many other shrines in Europe. This ticket allows access to the remains of the abbey, originating from the year 909.
Visitors will see the famous cloister and learn about the Benedictine monks' practices and lifestyles that influenced other religious orders in Europe during the Middle Ages. Inside this European Heritage site, you will also find what was once part of the Arts et Métiers ParisTech University.

Cluny Abbey is open from Monday to Sunday at the following times:
April 1 - June 30: 9:30 am - 6 pmJuly 1 - August 31: 9:30 am - 7 pmSeptember 1 - 30: 9:30 am - 6 pmOctober 1 - March 31: 9:30 am - 5 pm
The Museum of Art and Archaeology is closed between 12:30 pm and 2 pm until the end of the year. On January 28, 2025, both the Abbey and the Museum will open at 11:30 am. The last allowed access to the abbey is 45 minutes before closing, and to the museum, it is 30 minutes before closing.

Admission to Cluny Abbey is free for:
Young people from the EU aged 18 to 25.Children under 18, regardless of nationality.
Free admission is available on the first Sunday of each month from January to March and from November to December, as well as the third weekend of September. To obtain free admission, visit the site’s ticket office with a certifying document of eligibility.
