Agroflori & Villa Albina Excursion

We'll pick you up at 10 am at your hotel in Cochabamba for an excursion to the bird sanctuary of Parque de Aves Agroflori.

Once there, we'll explore this nature reserve focused on the protection of abused animals. The initiative began over two decades ago when its founder, Marcelo Antezana, witnessed the trafficking of exotic animals.

During the visit, we'll learn about the preservation work of the park, which aims to reinsert birds like the Tucuman amazon into their habitat. The refuge houses various species, including Scarlet and Hyacinth macaws, as well as peacocks, eagles, and flamingos rescued from drought conditions.

The next stop will be Villa Albina, a mansion built by wealthy Bolivian miner Simón Patiño for his wife, named Albina. This residence is part of the contributions made by the so-called "Tin King" to Bolivian heritage. After the visit, we'll return to Cochabamba, arriving at 3:30 pm.

Changes to the itinerary

On Saturdays and Sundays, visits will be reversed, starting with Villa Albina and then proceeding to the Agroflori bird sanctuary.
