Visit the bird sanctuary of Parque de Aves Agroflori and meet its feathered inhabitants on this excursion from Cochabamba. You'll also see Villa Albina, the residence built by the "Tin King" for his wife.

Agroflori & Villa Albina Excursion

We'll pick you up at 10 am at your hotel in Cochabamba for an excursion to the bird sanctuary of Parque de Aves Agroflori.

At the sanctuary, we will explore this nature reserve dedicated to protecting abused animals. Founded by Marcelo Antezana, it arose from his efforts to combat the trafficking of exotic animals.

During the visit, we'll learn about the preservation work in the park, including efforts to reintegrate birds like the Tucuman amazon into their habitat. The refuge is home to various species such as Scarlet and Hyacinth macaws, peacocks, eagles, and flamingos rescued from drought-affected areas.

Next, we will visit Villa Albina, a mansion built by wealthy miner Simón Patiño for his wife, named after her. This palace is part of the heritage contributed by the "Tin King." After visiting the residence, we will return to Cochabamba, arriving at 3:30 pm.

Changes to the itinerary

On Saturdays and Sundays, the order of the visits will be reversed, starting with Villa Albina and then proceeding to the Agroflori bird sanctuary.
