Agroflori & Villa Albina Excursion

We'll pick you up at 10 am at your hotel in Cochabamba for an excursion to the bird sanctuary of Parque de Aves Agroflori. Once there, we'll explore this nature reserve dedicated to the protection of abused animals, founded over two decades ago by Marcelo Antezana after witnessing the trafficking of exotic animals.

During the visit, we'll learn about the preservation work carried out by the park aimed at reintroducing birds like the Tucuman amazon back into their habitat. The refuge houses various species, including Scarlet and Hyacinth macaws, as well as other rescued birds such as peacocks, eagles, and flamingos affected by drought.

The next stop will be Villa Albina, a mansion constructed by miner Simón Patiño for his wife. This residence, named after her, is part of Patiño's contributions to Bolivian heritage. After the visit, we'll return to Cochabamba, arriving by 3:30 pm.

Changes to the itinerary

On Saturdays and Sundays, the order of the visits will be reversed, starting with Villa Albina followed by the Agroflori bird sanctuary.
