Agroflori & Villa Albina Excursion
Pickup is at 10 am at your hotel in Cochabamba for the excursion to the bird sanctuary of Parque de Aves Agroflori.
Here, you will explore this nature reserve dedicated to the protection of abused animals. Founded by Marcelo Antezana, the initiative started over two decades ago after he witnessed the trafficking of exotic animals. During the visit, you'll learn about the preservation work aimed at reinserting birds like the Tucuman amazon into their habitat. The refuge houses various species, including Scarlet and Hyacinth macaws, as well as peacocks, eagles, and flamingos rescued from droughts.
The next stop is Villa Albina, a palace built by wealthy Bolivian miner Simón Patiño for his wife. Patiño, who gained wealth from tin mines, named the mansion after her. After visiting the residence, you'll return to Cochabamba by 3:30 pm.
Changes to the itinerary
On Saturdays and Sundays, visits will be reversed, starting with Villa Albina and then the Agroflori bird sanctuary.
