Visit the bird sanctuary of Parque de Aves Agroflori and meet its feathered inhabitants on this excursion from Cochabamba. You'll also see Villa Albina, the luxurious residence that the so-called "Tin King" built for his wife.

Agroflori & Villa Albina Excursion

We'll pick you up at 10 am at your hotel in Cochabamba for an excursion to the bird sanctuary of Parque de Aves Agroflori.

Once there, we'll begin exploring this nature reserve dedicated to the protection of abused animals, initiated by Marcelo Antezana over two decades ago in response to exotic animal trafficking.

During the visit, we'll learn about the important preservation efforts of the park, aiming to reintegrate species like the Tucuman amazon. In the refuge, we'll observe various species, including the Scarlet and Hyacinth macaws, as well as rescued peacocks, eagles, and flamingos.

The next stop will be Villa Albina, built by miner Simón Patiño for his wife. This mansion, named after her, is a notable contribution to Bolivian heritage. After the visit, we'll return to Cochabamba, arriving at 3:30 pm.

Changes to the itinerary

On Saturdays and Sundays, the order of the visits will be reversed, first visiting Villa Albina and then the Agroflori bird sanctuary.
