Cochabamba Churches Tour

We'll meet at the Plaza de Colón at the appointed time to begin this tour of the important churches of the metropolitan axis of Cochabamba, including districts like Tiquipaya and Quillacollo.

Our first visit will be to the exterior of the Cathedral of San Sebastian, where we will admire its portico of Corinthian columns and pointed rose window. We will learn about the history of this temple before proceeding to the parish church of San Miguel de Tiquipaya, known for its two-coloured façade and stepped bell tower.

Next, we'll visit the church of Santiago Apóstol de El Paso on the outskirts and discover its significance for the community. We’ll then continue to Quillacollo.

In Quillacollo, we'll first explore the exterior of the cathedral of San Ildefonso, situated in a quiet square where we will discuss the four centuries of history of this basilica.

Lastly, we will visit the sanctuary of the Virgin of Urkupiña, known for its religious legend related to the Virgen María Asunta, which we will reveal at the end of the tour.

After a four-hour tour, we will return to the starting point.
