Cochabamba Tour
We'll start our full tour of Cochabamba at the Plaza de las Banderas at 8:30 am. During the route we'll visit the main attractions of the Bolivian city without missing anything.
We'll start the tour by visiting the Plaza de las Banderas and the Plaza de Colón, where some of the city's most emblematic public and religious buildings are located, such as the old temple of the Hospicio.
Next, we'll go to the convent of Santa Teresa, now a museum. We'll take a guided tour of this monastery, then continue on to the Palacio Portales, which combines colonial architecture with neoclassical elements.
On our way, we'll pass the Cancha market, the largest open-air market in Latin America.
We'll stop for a typical lunch, consisting of a starter and a main course, and then continue our visit by bus to the viewpoint of the Cristo de la Concordia. This statue of Jesus Christ is the second tallest in the world, measuring 34.20 metres (112 feet).
After enjoying the panoramic view of Cochabamba, we'll visit the Alalay Lagoon, located in the southern centre of the city. Afterwards, we'll explore the traditional neighbourhoods of Cochabamba and admire the street art.
Finally, we'll pass through the Plaza 14 de Septiembre, where the Metropolitan Cathedral is located, and we'll finish the visit by returning to the Plaza de las Banderas at 8:30 pm.
