Cochabamba Tour
The tour begins at the Plaza de las Banderas at 8:30 am, visiting main attractions of the city. First, we will see the Plaza de las Banderas and the Plaza de Colón, which feature emblematic public and religious buildings, including the old temple of the Hospicio.
Next, we visit the convent of Santa Teresa, a former residence of the Discalced Carmelite nuns now serving as a museum. We will take a guided tour before heading to the Palacio Portales, a building showcasing a mix of colonial and neoclassical architecture.
We will pass by the Cancha market, known as the largest open-air market in Latin America.
A typical lunch with a starter and a main course will be provided, followed by a bus ride to the viewpoint of the Cristo de la Concordia, home to the second tallest statue of Jesus Christ in the world, measuring 34.20 metres (112 feet).
After enjoying the panoramic view of Cochabamba, the tour continues to the Alalay Lagoon, located in the southern centre of the city. We will then explore traditional neighborhoods and appreciate the street art.
