Cochabamba Tour
We'll start our full tour of Cochabamba at the Plaza de las Banderas at 8:30 am. During the route we'll visit the main attractions of the Bolivian city.
We'll first visit the Plaza de las Banderas and the Plaza de Colón, home to several emblematic public and religious buildings, including the old temple of the Hospicio.
Next, we'll go to the convent of Santa Teresa, a former residence of the Discalced Carmelite nuns, now a museum. We'll have a guided tour of this monastery and then proceed to the Palacio Portales, which features colonial architecture with neoclassical elements.
We'll pass the Cancha market, the largest open-air market in Latin America.
A typical lunch, including a starter and a main course, will be provided. After lunch, we'll visit the Cristo de la Concordia viewpoint, home to the second tallest statue of Jesus Christ in the world at 34.20 metres (112 feet).
After enjoying the views of Cochabamba, we'll visit the Alalay Lagoon, situated in the southern centre of the city, followed by a stroll through traditional neighborhoods to admire street art.
Finally, we'll pass through the Plaza 14 de Septiembre, where the Metropolitan Cathedral is located, and conclude the visit by returning to the Plaza de las Banderas at 8:30 pm.
