Discover one of the most important places in Tahuantinsuyo with this amazing Tour of the Incallajta fort from Cochabamba. Explore the rich Inca culture!

Incallajta Fort Tour

The tour starts at 8 am with hotel pickup in Cochabamba. Participants will travel to the high valley, crossing the Andean plains and passing the Angostura Lagoon, an artificial lake used for recreation.

The visit to Incallajta, a key archaeological site in Bolivia, will follow. The term "incallajta" translates to "city of the Inca." It is part of the Inca Axis, a historical route linking major Inca areas, including Machu Picchu in Peru and other sites in Bolivia such as Samaipata. Samaipata was a significant city in the Collasuyo region of the Inca Empire.

During the tour, participants will explore Inca roads and preserved stone buildings, visiting notable squares, courtyards, and temples like the Kallanka. They will gain insights into the history of the Inca Empire and conclude the tour with a picnic lunch before further exploring the archaeological complex, allowing for photo opportunities with the ancient ruins.

After the visit, the tour will return to Cochabamba, arriving back at the hotel by 5 pm.
