Discover one of the most important places in Tahuantinsuyo with this amazing Tour of the Incallajta fort from Cochabamba. Explore the rich Inca culture!

Incallajta Fort Tour

The tour starts at 8 am with a hotel pickup. We will set off from Cochabamba to the high valley, crossing the Andean plains and passing the Angostura Lagoon, an artificial lake used by locals for recreation.

Upon arrival at the Incallajta fort, an emblematic archaeological site in Bolivia, we will learn that "incallajta" means "city of the Inca." Incallajta is part of the Inca Axis, a historical route connecting major areas of the Inca civilization, including Machu Picchu in Peru and Samaipata and Incallajta in Bolivia. Samaipata was the most significant city in Collasuyo, one of the four regions of the Inca Empire.

During our historical adventure, we'll stroll along Inca roads and explore preserved stone buildings. We will visit notable squares, courtyards, and temples, such as the Kallanka, while learning about the history of the Inca Empire. The tour includes a picnic lunch, and participants can take pictures of the ancient ruins.

The tour concludes with a return to Cochabamba, arriving at your hotel by 5 pm.
