Discover one of the most important places in Tahuantinsuyo with this amazing Tour of the Incallajta fort from Cochabamba. Explore the rich Inca culture!

Incallajta Fort Tour

The tour starts at 8 am with hotel pickup, departing from Cochabamba to the high valley. Participants will cross the Andean plains and pass the Angostura Lagoon, a significant artificial lake used by locals.

Arrival at the Incallajta fort, one of the most notable archaeological sites in Bolivia, will follow. "Incallajta" translates to "city of the Inca" and is part of the Inca Axis, connecting key areas of the Inca civilization, including Machu Picchu in Peru and Samaipata and Incallajta in Bolivia. Samaipata was a vital city of Collasuyo, a division of the Inca Empire, referred to as Tahuantinsuyo.

During the tour, participants will stroll along preserved Inca roads and stone buildings, visiting squares, courtyards, and temples such as the Kallanka. Information about the history of the Inca Empire will be provided. The tour includes a picnic lunch and more opportunities for photography of the ancient ruins.

The tour concludes with a return to Cochabamba, arriving at your hotel by 5 pm.
