Incallajta Fort Tour
The tour starts at 8 am with a pick-up from your hotel. We will set off from Cochabamba to the high valley, crossing the Andean plains and passing the Angostura Lagoon, an artificial lake used as a recreational area.
We will arrive at Incallajta, an emblematic archaeological site in Bolivia. "Incallajta" means "city of the Inca" and is part of the Inca Axis, connecting key areas of the Inca civilization, including Machu Picchu in Peru and Samaipata and Incallajta in Bolivia. Samaipata was significant to Collasuyo, one of the four divisions of the Inca Empire.
During the tour, we will stroll along Inca roads and preserved stone buildings, visiting squares, courtyards, and temples, such as the Kallanka, while learning about the history of the Inca Empire. The tour includes a picnic lunch, followed by further exploration of the archaeological complex to capture moments through photography.
After the visit, we will conclude the tour by returning to Cochabamba, arriving at your hotel by 5 pm.
