Tarata, Cliza & La Angostura Lake Trip

After meeting at 10 am in the Plaza de Colón square in Cochabamba, we'll set off for Tarata, located about 50 minutes away.

We'll spend two and a half hours exploring Tarata, walking through its streets and squares, viewing historical buildings such as San Pedro church and the Town Hall. We'll also see the Melgarejo Bridge and learn about its unique location.

A stop will be made for a traditional meal accompanied by chicha de maíz. After lunch, we’ll visit the Tarata market before returning to the minibus.

Next, we'll head to the carob forest of Tiataco, a 15-minute drive away. Here, we’ll embark on a 35-minute hike while learning about Andean culture. A brief visit to the village of Tiataco will follow.

The trip continues at the Cliza farmer's market and the main square, featuring the old clock tower of the Nuestra Señora del Carmen church.

We’ll pass by the Angostura lagoon for scenic views before heading back to Cochabamba, arriving at Plaza de Colón at 5:15 pm.
