Tarata, Cliza & La Angostura Lake Trip

Meeting at 10 am in Plaza de Colón square in Cochabamba, we will depart for Tarata, approximately 50 minutes away.

We will explore Tarata for two and a half hours, walking through streets and squares while observing historical buildings like San Pedro church and the Town Hall. We will also visit the Melgarejo Bridge, located in the middle of a street, discussing its significance.

A stop for a traditional meal will include a main course and a typical drink, chicha de maíz. After lunch, we will visit the Tarata market before continuing by minibus.

Next, we will head to the carob forest of Tiataco, a 15-minute journey, where we will take a short 35-minute hike to learn about Andean culture. We will also visit the village of Tiataco before proceeding to Cliza.

The trip includes a visit to the Cliza farmer's market and the main square, featuring the historic clock tower of Nuestra Señora del Carmen church.

Finally, we will visit the Angostura lagoon for stunning views before returning to Cochabamba, arriving back at Plaza de Colón at 5:15 pm.
