Tarata, Cliza & La Angostura Lake Trip

Meet at 10 am in the Plaza de Colón in Cochabamba and set off for Tarata, located about 50 minutes away.

Spend two and a half hours exploring Tarata, walking through streets and squares, and visiting landmarks such as the San Pedro church, the Town Hall, and the Melgarejo Bridge. A stop for a traditional meal will include a main course and chicha de maíz. After lunch, visit the Tarata market before continuing.

Next, head to the carob forest of Tiataco, just 15 minutes away, where there will be a 35-minute hike among the trees to learn about the Andean culture. A brief visit to the village of Tiataco precedes the trip to Cliza.

The journey continues at the Cliza farmer's market and the main square, featuring the clock tower of Nuestra Señora del Carmen church, one of the oldest in the region.

Afterward, pass by the Angostura lagoon for scenic views.

Return to Cochabamba, arriving back at Plaza de Colón by 5:15 pm.
