Houseboat Cruise and Fort Kochi Tour Itinerary

You will be picked up at Kochi port and drive for one hour and 45 minutes to Alappuzha (Alleppey). Here, you will board a houseboat to begin your journey through the Keralan backwaters.

On the houseboat, you can admire the waterfront vegetation, rice paddies, coconut palms, and traditional wooden houseboats, providing ample photography opportunities. During the cruise, a traditional Keralan meal will be served on board featuring rice, chicken, fish, salad, vegetables, and poppadums. After two hours, you will disembark and be driven to Fort Kochi, known for its historic significance and ancient Chinese fishing nets.

At Fort Kochi, you will learn about the history of the area and its traditional fishing practices. After the tour, you will be returned to Kochi port by bus.

This tour is a shore excursion for cruise passengers and operates in a group.Wear comfortable, cool clothing such as long cotton tops and trousers or skirts.Ships arriving after 11 am will miss the stop to see the Chinese fishing nets.
