Join us on a journey to explore the wonders of the Mixteca region. Our tour focuses on the architectural beauty and traditions of this area and the surrounding landscapes.

Colonial Architecture Tour

At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in downtown Oaxaca and set off toward our first stop, the Ex-Convent of San Juan Bautista Coixtlahuaca.

Upon arrival, you'll see the intricate snake-shaped details that adorn the façade and interior of the temple. Next, we'll visit the Ex-Convent of San Pedro and San Pablo Teposcolula, one of Oaxaca's most impressive religious complexes. Teposcolula is recognized as a magical town, and we'll visit its open chapel, the largest in Latin America.

We'll then head to the charming town of San Pedro Yucunama, where we'll walk along cobblestone streets and admire the architecture that reflects its history. We'll also learn about the customs and traditions that the villagers still practice today.

Finally, we'll visit a local family of artisans from the Mixtec region, who will welcome us into their home for a demonstration of palm handicrafts. This offers a unique opportunity to witness the skills of these artisans.

We will then return to Oaxaca and drop you off at your hotel, completing the tour in approximately 9 hours.
