Description
This tour begins with pickup from your hotel, heading southeast from Oaxaca to the frozen waterfalls of Hierve el Agua in San Isidro de Roaguía. Experience views from heights of 100 feet (30 metres) and 40 feet (12 metres). Formed over 2,500 years ago, these falls are significant to the Zapotec people and offer natural pools for bathing amid the vegetation of the Madre del Sur mountain range.
The tour includes a visit to a mezcal producer, showcasing the 120 types of agave used in the region. You can taste various mezcal types produced here. After a 1-hour break for lunch at Palenque Mezcal, we will proceed to Teotitlán del Valle, known for its vibrant textiles and traditional Zapotec craftsmanship. Witness the production of wool products featuring traditional dyes and designs before returning to Oaxaca, concluding around 6 pm.
