Mezcal Tour of Santa Catarina Minas

After picking you up from your hotel in Oaxaca, we'll drive 45 minutes to Santa Catarina Minas. Once there, we'll start our mezcal tour.

This town is known for its mezcal tradition. We will meet a local mezcal producer and learn how agave has been milled by hand, fermented in piles, and distilled in clay pots.

Next, we'll visit an artisanal mezcal factory to discover agave cultivation and organic production processes. This farm also has cows and goats that provide fertilizer for the plantations.

Our tour concludes with a mezcal tasting of 10 different varieties. On the return trip, we'll stop at a restaurant in the Ocotlán Valley, where you can have food if desired.

We will drive you back to your hotel in Oaxaca, arriving 7 hours after departure.
