Mezcal Tour of Santa Catarina Minas

After picking you up from your hotel in Oaxaca, we'll drive 45 minutes to Santa Catarina Minas. Once there, we'll start our mezcal tour.

This town is known for its mezcal tradition. We'll meet a local mezcal producer to learn how agave is milled by hand, fermented in piles, and distilled in clay pots.

Following this, we'll visit an artisanal mezcal factory, where we will explore the agave cultivation and organic production processes. This farm also houses cows and goats that provide fertilizer for the plantations.

Our tour concludes with a mezcal tasting, where we will sample a total of 10 different varieties. Afterward, we will stop at a restaurant in the Ocotlán Valley, where you'll have time to get some food if you wish.

We will then drive you back to your hotel in Oaxaca, arriving approximately 7 hours later.
