Mezcal Tour of Santa Catarina Minas

After picking you up from your hotel in Oaxaca, we'll drive 45 minutes to Santa Catarina Minas. Here, we will begin our mezcal tour.

This town is recognized for its mezcal tradition. We will meet a local mezcal producer to learn about the historical processes of milling agave by hand, fermenting it in piles, and distilling in clay pots.

Next, we will visit an artisanal mezcal factory to explore agave cultivation and organic production processes. This farm also raises cows and goats that provide fertilizer for the plantations.

The tour will conclude with a mezcal tasting, featuring a total of 10 different varieties. We will then stop at a restaurant in the Ocotlán Valley for a chance to get something to eat.

We will return you to your hotel in Oaxaca, arriving approximately 7 hours after the start of the tour.
