Oaxaca to Huatulco: 6-Day Tour

Day 1: Oaxaca

Upon arrival at the airport, a representative will meet you and escort you to a hotel in the city center. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 2: Oaxaca - Monte Albán - Arrazola - San Bartolo Coyotepec - Oaxaca

After breakfast, we will visit the archaeological site of Monte Albán to learn about the Zapotec civilization. Next, we will stop at a workshop in Arrazola to see alebrijes, followed by a visit to a Dominican ex-monastery in Cuilápam de Guerrero. Finally, we will explore San Bartolo Coyotepec and its black clay workshop. You will have an hour for lunch in San Bartolo before returning to Oaxaca, arriving at the hotel at 5:45 pm.

Day 3: Oaxaca - Tule - Teotitlán del Valle - Mitla - Oaxaca

After breakfast, pick-up is at 9:45 am for the Santa María del Tule Tree, followed by a weaving workshop in Teotitlán del Valle where you will have an hour for lunch. We will then visit the Mitla Archaeological Site and conclude with a tour of a mezcal distillery. Return to Oaxaca is scheduled for 5:45 pm.

Day 4: Oaxaca - Bahías de Huatulco

Pick-up at 6 am from your hotel, with a breakfast stop in San José del Pacífico. Arrival at your hotel in Bahías de Huatulco is at 1 pm, followed by leisure for lunch. At 3:45 pm, we will have a sightseeing tour and a visit to a clothing workshop, returning to the hotel at 6:45 pm.

Day 5: Bahías de Huatulco

After breakfast, pick-up at 9 am for a boat trip around the Bays of Huatulco. You will have an hour for snorkeling in Chachacual Bay and two hours in Maguey Bay for swimming and refreshments. Return to the hotel by 6 pm.

Day 6: Bahías de Huatulco

Enjoy breakfast before transportation to the Bahía de Huatulco Airport for your departure.

Accommodation and meals

This tour includes 5 nights of accommodation at:

Oaxaca (3 nights): 3-star Oaxaca Real, Hotel del Marquesado, Parador del Dominico or similar.Bahías de Huatulco (2 nights): 3-star Azul Sirena, Alikar, Best Western or similar.

Breakfasts are included on the second, third, fifth, and sixth days. Lunches and dinners are not included; stops will be made for lunch during the tour while dinners can be enjoyed at hotel restaurants.
