Oaxaca to Huatulco: 6-Day Tour

Day 1: Oaxaca

Welcome to Oaxaca! Upon arrival at the airport, we meet you in the arrivals hall and transfer you to a hotel in the city centre. The rest of the day is free.

Day 2: Oaxaca - Monte Albán - Arrazola - San Bartolo Coyotepec - Oaxaca

After breakfast, we pick you up and drive to the archaeological site of Monte Albán to explore the remnants of the Zapotec civilization. Next, we visit Arrazola for a look at alebrijes, then the 16th-century Dominican ex-monastery in Cuilápam de Guerrero. In San Bartolo Coyotepec, you’ll have one hour for lunch before returning to Oaxaca, arriving by 5:45 pm.

Day 3: Oaxaca - Tule - Teotitlán del Valle - Mitla - Oaxaca

After breakfast, pick up at 9:45 am to see the Santa María del Tule Tree. Proceed to a weaving workshop in Teotitlán del Valle, where you can have lunch for an hour. Then, visit the Mitla Archaeological Site and a mezcal distillery before returning to the hotel in Oaxaca by 5:45 pm.

Day 4: Oaxaca - Bahías de Huatulco

Pick up at 6 am from your hotel in Oaxaca and drive to the Pacific coast, stopping in San José del Pacífico for breakfast. Arrival at the hotel in Bahías de Huatulco by 1 pm for lunch at leisure. Meeting at 3:45 pm for a sightseeing tour, including a stop at a typical Mexican clothing workshop. Return to the hotel at 6:45 pm.

Day 5: Bahías de Huatulco

After breakfast, pick up at 9 am to Santa Cruz dock for a boat trip around the Bays of Huatulco, including a visit to Chachacual Bay for snorkeling and Maguey Bay for 2 hours of swimming and relaxation. Return to the hotel by 6 pm.

Day 6: Bahías de Huatulco

Leisurely breakfast before transfer to Bahía de Huatulco Airport. Bon voyage!

This tour includes 5 nights' accommodation at:

Oaxaca (3 nights): 3-star Oaxaca Real, Hotel del Marquesado, Parador del Dominico or similar.Bahías de Huatulco (2 nights): 3-star Azul Sirena, Alikar, Best Western or similar.

Breakfasts included on the second, third, fifth, and sixth days. Lunches and dinners are not included; lunch stops will be arranged in visiting towns, and dinners can be had at hotel restaurants.
