Oaxaca to Huatulco: 6-Day Tour

Day 1: Oaxaca

Welcome to Oaxaca! Upon landing, we will meet you at the airport and transfer you to a hotel in the city centre. You will have the remainder of the day free.

Day 2: Oaxaca - Monte Albán - Arrazola - San Bartolo Coyotepec - Oaxaca

After breakfast, pickup is at 9:45 am for a visit to the archaeological site of Mount Albán, where we will explore the remains of the Zapotec civilization. Next, we will visit Arrazola to see a workshop of alebrijes, followed by a stop in San Bartolo Coyotepec for a black clay workshop. You will have an hour for lunch in San Bartolo before returning to Oaxaca, arriving by 5:45 pm.

Day 3: Oaxaca - Tule - Teotitlán del Valle - Mitla - Oaxaca

After breakfast and pickup at 9:45 am, we will visit the Santa María del Tule Tree, then a weaving workshop in Teotitlán del Valle. After an hour for lunch, we will visit the Mitla Archaeological Site and a mezcal distillery. Return to the hotel by 5:45 pm.

Day 4: Oaxaca - Bahías de Huatulco

Pickup at 6 am for a drive to the Pacific coast, with a breakfast stop in San José del Pacífico. Arrive at the hotel in Bahías de Huatulco by 1 pm. At 3:45 pm, we will embark on a sightseeing tour of Huatulco, including a stop at a typical Mexican clothing workshop. Return to the hotel by 6:45 pm.

Day 5: Bahías de Huatulco

After breakfast, we will leave at 9 am for the Santa Cruz dock to board a boat trip around the Bays of Huatulco. Experience coastal scenery and visit Chachacual Bay for an hour of snorkeling, followed by a visit to the Rostro mixteca and Maguey Bay for 2 hours of swimming and dining. Return to the hotel by 6 pm.

Day 6: Bahías de Huatulco

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before a transfer to Bahía de Huatulco Airport in time for your flight.

Accommodation and meals

This tour includes 5 nights' accommodation at the following hotels:

Oaxaca (3 nights): 4-star options like Oaxaca Real, Hotel del Marquesado, Parador del Dominico or similar.Bahías de Huatulco (2 nights): 3-star options like Azul Sirena, Alikar, Best Western or similar.

Breakfasts are included at the hotels on the second, third, fifth and sixth day. Lunches and dinners are not included; you will have time for lunch in the towns visited. Dinner can be arranged at the hotel restaurants.
