Oaxaca Valley 2-Day Tour

Day 1

We'll pick you up from your hotel at 8:30 am and set off for Tlacolula de Matamoros to learn about Zapotec culture from the 2nd century BC. We'll visit the colonial-style Church of our Lord of Tlacolula and enjoy a typical sorbet or charcoal-grilled meat dish at the local market.

Next, we'll visit Santiago Matatlán, renowned for mezcal. We'll tour a mezcal palenque and learn about the production process. You'll then have 1 hour of free time for lunch at 1 pm.

We will continue to Benito Juárez and settle into the cosy cabins equipped with a fireplace. Bicycles will be available for independent exploration of the village.

Day 2

At 9 am, we'll embark on a 3 mile (5 kilometre) hike through the forest, observing tree species including oyamel firs, strawberry trees, and pines. A breathtaking 33 feet (10 metres) high waterfall will be a highlight before we travel to a suspension bridge offering panoramic views.

Returning to Benito Juárez, you'll have 1 hour for lunch before we return to Oaxaca, arriving at your hotel by 5 pm.
