Oaxaca Valley 2-Day Tour

Day 1

Pickup from your hotel at 8:30 am to visit Tlacolula de Matamoros, where you'll learn about the Zapotec culture dating back to the 2nd century BC and see the colonial-style Church of our Lord of Tlacolula. Options for lunch include typical sorbet or charcoal-grilled meat dishes at the local market.

Next, we will visit Santiago Matatlán, known for mezcal. A visit to a mezcal palenque will provide insight into the production process. Enjoy 1 hour of free time for lunch at 1 pm.

Then, we will head to Benito Juárez, where you'll settle into cosy cabins with fireplaces. Bikes will be provided for personal exploration of the village.

Day 2

At 9 am, embark on a 3 mile (5 kilometre) hike through a dense forest, observing tree species such as oyamel firs, strawberry trees, and pines. A visit to a 33 foot (10 metre) waterfall and a suspension bridge will offer panoramic views.

After returning to Benito Juárez, you will have 1 hour of free time for lunch before the trip back to Oaxaca, with drop-off at your hotel by 5 pm.
