Ocotlán de Morelos is a small town located in the central valleys region. This tour includes visits to its neoclassical church, the local market, and a square where residents from the entire Oaxaca region gather to sell their products.

Pickup from your hotel in Oaxaca is included for the trip to Ocotlán de Morelos, situated 45 kilometers from the city center. You will explore the town’s streets and visit the Ocotlán Basilica, known for its neoclassical decor.

At the local market, enjoy traditional delicacies of the region (not included), then continue to the traditional square, where residents sell artisanal wares every Friday. Here, you can purchase food, utensils, or textiles while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere and music.

The tour proceeds to Santo Tomás Jalieza, where you will see traditional Mesoamerican weaving, known for its vibrant color combinations. The tour concludes with a visit to San Martín Tilcajete, recognized for its production of 'alebrijes'—colorful sculptures that emerged from the creativity of Pedro Linares in the 1930s, symbolizing Oaxaca's artisan culture.

After the tour, you will return to Oaxaca, arriving around 5:30 pm.
