Explore the little town of San Agustin de Etla, and discover the art and gastronomy of Oaxaca's outskirts. We'll visit the Arts Centre, a cheese workshop and a paper factory.

San Agustín de Etla Day Trip

After hotel pick-up, we will travel 10 miles (17 km) from Oaxaca to the Etla Valley, visiting the village of San Agustin de Etla. Here, we will explore an old hydroelectric plant now used as a cooperative for making paper from natural fibres such as tree bark, branches, and flowers.

The tour includes a visit to the San Augustin Arts Centre, known as the CaSa, located in a former textile factory. This museum features a variety of modern art exhibitions.

We will also stop at a family-owned cheese workshop, where various types of traditional Oaxaca cheese are produced.

The tour concludes with a return to your hotel in central Oaxaca, arriving at 2:30 pm.
