Explore the little town of San Agustin de Etla, and discover the art and gastronomy of Oaxaca's outskirts. We'll visit the Arts Centre, a cheese workshop and a paper factory.

San Agustín de Etla Day Trip

After hotel pickup, we will travel 10 miles (17 km) to the Etla Valley and visit San Agustin de Etla. The tour includes an old hydroelectric plant that operates as a cooperative for making paper from natural fibres derived from tree bark, branches, and flowers.

We will also visit the San Augustin Arts Centre, known as CaSa, located in a former textile factory that features various modern art exhibitions.

The tour concludes with a stop at a family-owned cheese workshop to learn about the production of different varieties of typical Oaxaca cheese.

The tour returns to your hotel in central Oaxaca, arriving at 2:30 pm.
