Discover the beauty of Oaxaca as you visit the Temple of Santo Domingo, explore the zócalo, and get inspired by the culture of this city.
Walking Tour of Oaxaca
We will pick you up at your hotel to begin the tour of the city, discovering all of Oaxaca's nooks and crannies. Our first stop will be the Temple of Santo Domingo de Guzmán, a prime example of baroque architecture in Mexico. We will also visit the Museum of the Cultures of Oaxaca (ticket not included), inside the old Santo Domingo convent, showcasing a collection of archaeological objects from the Mixtec and Zapotec cultures.
The walking tour continues through the cobbled streets of Oaxaca until we arrive at the zócalo, the main square, where museums, artisanal shops, and typical restaurants can be found. We will also explore traditional markets such as Mercado Benito Juárez, offering a variety of black clay items and the colorful "alebrijes", fantasy figurines originating from this region.
After a day of discovering Oaxaca, we will return to the hotels, arriving around 2 pm.
