If you're seeking adventure, this trip is perfect for you! The Rio Verde Trip invites you to embark on a journey from Cocorná, where you'll immerse yourself in the stunning mountainous landscapes, pristine rivers, and diverse flora and fauna of eastern Antioquia.

Rio Verde Trip

Our excursion begins at 8 am at the El Palacio de los Frijoles restaurant, where we will board our jeep and venture into the heart of Antioquia's lush forests.

Upon reaching the village of Boquerón, we will enjoy a one-hour hike down the canyon, surrounded by mesmerizing views of nature. During this trek, mules will accompany us, carrying all the necessary equipment for our adventure.

Next, it’s time for rafting! After a safety briefing from our guide, we will jump into our rafts and begin our thrilling journey down the Rio Verde. This segment will cover 15.5 miles (25 kilometers) filled with exciting waves, whirlpools, and rapids.

Midway through, we will take a break for a delightful picnic lunch. This is also a great opportunity to relax in the natural pools of Rio Verde and discover some hidden waterfalls.

After our break, we will climb back into the rafts to navigate the exhilarating rapids that await us in the second leg of our route.

The adventure concludes at the Samaná River bridge, where our drivers will be ready to transport us back to the meeting point by 5 pm.

2-Day Trip

For those looking to enhance their experience, consider opting for the 2-day trip to Rio Verde during your booking.

On the first day, we will engage in the rafting activity as detailed earlier. Once we've finished, we'll set up our hammocks along the riverbank for some well-deserved rest, followed by a hearty dinner before heading to bed.

Awake and rejuvenated, we'll prepare breakfast while you enjoy a refreshing swim in the river. The day kicks off with a hike through the canyon and along a stream adjacent to Rio Verde. Afterward, we will return to our rafts to discover some hidden areas and secret waterfalls.

Feeling hungry? We'll take a break for a picnic lunch and continue our rowing. Keep a lookout, as there’s a chance to spot exotic birds soaring above!

Our rafting journey will conclude at the Samaná River bridge. From here, we will return you to the same meeting point where we began the first day, arriving by 5 pm.

The 2-day trip includes one night of accommodation at a campsite featuring hammocks.
