Rio Verde Trip

If you're after an adventure, we've got it sorted! On our Rio Verde Trip, we'll set off from Cocorná and discover the mountain scenery, crystal-clear rivers and flora and fauna of eastern Antioquia.

Rio Verde Trip

At 8 am, we'll meet at the El Palacio de los Frijoles restaurant and hop into our jeep. We'll drive deep into Antioquia's forests.

Upon reaching the village of Boquerón, we'll spend 1 hour walking down the canyon. Mules will accompany us to carry the equipment.

Rafting will commence after a safety briefing from the guide. We will navigate through 15.5 miles (25 kilometres) of waves, whirlpools, and rapids.

At the halfway point, we'll stop for a picnic lunch. Participants can swim in natural pools and explore hidden waterfalls.

We will continue with the best rapids in the second stretch.

The activity concludes at the Samaná River bridge, and drivers will return us to the meeting point by 5 pm.

2-Day Trip

For an extended experience, opt for the 2-day trip to Rio Verde during booking.

The first day follows the rafting itinerary, after which we will set up hammocks at the riverbank for rest and enjoy dinner.

The next morning, we’ll prepare breakfast. Hikers will explore the canyon and stream near Rio Verde, followed by more rafting to discover secluded areas and secret waterfalls.

A picnic lunch will be included as we continue rowing, with potential views of exotic birds.

Rafting concludes at the Samaná River bridge, followed by the return to the previous day's meeting point by 5 pm.

Accommodation

The 2-day trip includes 1 night’s accommodation at a campsite with hammocks.
