Rio Verde Trip

If you're after an adventure, we've got it sorted! On our Rio Verde Trip, we'll set off from Cocorná and discover the mountain scenery, crystal-clear rivers and flora and fauna of eastern Antioquia.

Rio Verde Trip

At 8 am, we'll meet at the El Palacio de los Frijoles restaurant and hop into our jeep. We'll then start driving deep into Antioquia's forests.

When we get to the village of Boquerón, we'll spend 1 hour walking down the canyon. Mules will accompany us to carry the equipment.

We'll begin rafting after a safety briefing from the guide, navigating 15.5 miles (25 kilometers) of waves, whirlpools, and rapids.

At the halfway point, we'll stop for a picnic lunch and the opportunity to swim in natural pools and explore hidden waterfalls.

After the break, we'll tackle the best rapids on the second stretch of our route.

The activity concludes at the Samaná River bridge, where drivers will take us back to our initial meeting point by 5 pm.

2-Day Trip

You can opt for the 2-day trip to Rio Verde when booking. The first day includes the rafting activity, followed by setting up hammocks at the riverbank for rest and dinner.

On the second day, after breakfast and a refreshing swim, we’ll hike through the canyon and then raft to explore secluded areas and secret waterfalls.

A picnic lunch will be provided before we continue rafting. We'll conclude the activity at the Samaná River bridge and return to the previous day's meeting point by 5 pm.

Accommodation

The 2-day trip includes 1 night's accommodation at a campsite with hammocks.
