Rio Verde Trip

If you're after an adventure, we've got it sorted! On our Rio Verde Trip, we'll set off from Cocorná and discover the mountain scenery, crystal-clear rivers and flora and fauna of eastern Antioquia.

Rio Verde Trip

At 8 am, we'll meet at the El Palacio de los Frijoles restaurant and hop into our jeep, driving deep into Antioquia's forests to kick off our adventure. We will reach the village of Boquerón, spending 1 hour walking down the canyon through scenic landscapes, accompanied by mules carrying our equipment.

Next, we will go rafting after reviewing safety regulations. Our rafting extends over 15.5 miles (25 kilometers) through waves, whirlpools and rapids. At the halfway point, there will be a picnic lunch and opportunities to swim in natural pools and explore hidden waterfalls.

We will resume rafting, tackling the best rapids in the second stretch of our route. The activity concludes at the Samaná River bridge, with drivers available to return us to the initial meeting point by 5 pm.

2-Day Trip

For added excitement, you can select the 2-day trip to Rio Verde while booking. On the first day, we will complete the rafting activity as described and then set up hammocks for rest, ending the day with dinner.

On the second day, we'll prepare breakfast and enjoy a swim in the river. The first activity will be a hike through the canyon near Rio Verde, followed by more rafting to explore secluded areas and secret waterfalls. After a picnic lunch, we will conclude the rafting at the Samaná River bridge, returning to our meeting point by 5 pm.

The 2-day trip includes 1 night's accommodation at a campsite with hammocks.
