While in Coimbra, take the opportunity to explore the renowned Bairrada wine region and indulge in its exquisite wines.

Bairrada Region Exploration

We'll convene at a predetermined time on Avenida Emídio Navarro in Coimbra to embark on a four-hour journey through the Bairrada region, celebrated for its extraordinary wines and iconic locations.

Our first stop will be Curia, home to the Bairrada wine route headquarters. This location showcases all the prominent wine producers from the area, allowing us to discover a variety of their offerings.

After exploring Curia, we’ll enjoy a scenic drive through the vineyards of Bairrada. Along the way, we’ll visit a winery, which may change based on availability. We might be fortunate enough to tour Caves Messias, a historic establishment with a legacy spanning over 90 years. Additionally, a tasting of Bairrada wines will be included.

Feeling hungry? We'll provide some free time for lunch in Mealhada, where you can savor the local specialties at your own pace.

Finally, we’ll head back to Coimbra after our four-hour adventure.
