The tour begins at the Paço das Escolas, a royal palace housing the university faculties since 1537. This complex includes the notable University Tower, significant for its architectural details.
We'll visit the Sala dos Capelos, the main hall for academic ceremonies, while sharing stories from the university's past.
We will acknowledge the university's notable alumni and have the opportunity to enter the Joanina Library, recognized for its baroque aesthetics.
The tour includes a visit to the Chapel of St. Michael, dating back to the sixteenth century, which is significant to the brotherhood of Professors and Students.
