Description

At the designated time, we'll meet next to the Dom Dinis Statue to begin our guided tour of the University of Coimbra, one of Portugal's oldest educational institutions.

The tour starts with a visit to the Paço das Escolas, a royal palace housing university faculties since 1537. This complex features the University Tower and showcases significant architectural details.

Inside the university, we will explore the Sala dos Capelos, the main hall for prestigious academic ceremonies. We'll share intriguing stories that have unfolded within these walls.

We will also highlight the university's notable alumni and enter the renowned Joanina Library, celebrated for its baroque aesthetics and considered among the most beautiful libraries in the world.
