Activity Details
Welcome to Choco-Story Colmar! On the day of your visit, head to 12 Place de la Cathédrale in Colmar.
First, you'll participate in a chocolate-making workshop lasting 45 minutes, where you'll learn techniques such as dipping while decorating your own chocolate bars. Under the guidance of a chocolatier, you'll create chocolates to take home.
After the workshop, explore the museum’s interactive exhibit, learning about the rich history of the cacao bean with an audio guide in English. The exhibit will cover cocoa’s origins and its introduction to Europe by conquistadors in the 15th century.
Discover the role of cocoa in the Mayan, Aztec, and Inca cultures. The exhibition includes interactive stations for experiencing different cocoa aromas and learning about chocolate and praline production.
Among the highlights is a sculpture of the Statue of Liberty made entirely from cocoa, honoring Auguste Bartholdi, its creator. The visit concludes with a chocolate-tasting session.

The Choco-Story Colmar Museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm, with final admission at 5 pm. You can explore the museum either before or after the chocolate workshop.
