Welcome to Choco-Story Colmar! On the day of your visit, go to 12 Place de la Cathédrale in Colmar.
Join a chocolate-making workshop lasting 45 minutes, where you will learn techniques like dipping and decorating your own chocolate bars. An expert chocolatier will guide you in crafting creations to take home.
After the workshop, explore the museum’s interactive exhibit on the rich history of the cacao bean, using an audio guide in English to learn about cocoa’s origins and its introduction to Europe in the 15th century.
Discover the significant role of cocoa in Mayan, Aztec, and Inca cultures. The exhibition features interactive stations to experience different cocoa aromas and learn about chocolate and praline production.
Among the highlights is a sculpture of the Statue of Liberty made from cocoa, honoring Auguste Bartholdi, its Colmar-born creator.
Your visit concludes with a chocolate-tasting session.
