If you want to learn all about cocoa in Alsace, don't miss out on a visit to Choco-Story Colmar with an audio guide. You'll get to visit the museum as well as taste some delicious treats!

Why Visit Choco Story Colmar?

The Alsace region has a long tradition of chocolate making. Choco Story Colmar, located in the central Place de la Cathédrale, pays tribute to this link with a large exhibition dedicated to cocoa.

With your ticket, you'll visit the Museum of Chocolate in Colmar following the explanations of an audio guide in English. You'll discover the origins of cocoa and learn about its history from the 15th century onwards, when the product was brought to Europe by the conquistadors.

You will explore the connection of the Mayan, Aztec and Inca civilisations with cocoa. The exhibition features interactive areas where you can smell different cocoa aromas and learn about chocolate and praline production.

The exhibition also includes unique pieces such as a sculpture of the Statue of Liberty made entirely from cocoa, honoring Auguste Bartholdi, the sculptor native to Colmar.

After 1.5 hours of visiting, you'll conclude with a chocolate tasting!
