Private Tour of Cologne
At the time of your choice, we'll meet at Domtreppen, the steps in front of Cologne Cathedral, to begin our private tour of the German city. We'll start by admiring the Gothic façade of the church, which stands at 157 metres.
Next, we'll visit the Heinzelmännchenbrunnen, where our guide will explain the legend of the elf sculptures. Continuing, we will stop between Rathausplatz and Alter Markt, viewing the Old City Hall, built 900 years ago on the site of a Roman praetorium.
We will stroll through the gardens along the Rhine River to the Fish Market, known for its colorful houses. Afterward, we'll learn about the Willi Ostermann Brunnen Fountain and pass by the Wallraf-Richartz and Kolumba museums, the latter incorporating elements of St Kolumba Church.
We'll visit one of the oldest perfumeries in Cologne, Dufthaus 4711, which dates back to the 18th century. The tour will also include the façade of EL-DE Haus, a former Gestapo headquarters now a museum on the Third Reich.
Our final stop will be at the Kölnisches Stadtmuseum before concluding this two-hour tour at the Römerbrunnen fountain.
