Join this tour to Carmelo and visit at your own pace some of the most important wine-producing towns in Uruguay. Historic buildings, beaches, and exquisite wines await you.
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Colonia del Sacramento and travel along the coast to Carmelo. This city is known for its mix of cultures and architectural richness.
Upon arrival in Carmelo, you'll have 5 hours of free time to explore. We recommend visiting the Calera de las Huérfanas, a notable Jesuit construction with a fascinating history. The Carmelo Bridge, a swing bridge over the Arroyo de las Vacas, is another essential stop, as well as the yacht dock and local beaches such as Zagarzazú and Seré Beaches.
To enhance your experience, visit one of the traditional wineries where you can sample wine and food. The tour includes a ticket to two wineries of your choosing.
Finally, we will meet again at the agreed time and return you to your hotel in Colonia del Sacramento after approximately 6 or 7 hours.
