Activity Details

We will gather at the main pier in Tortuguero at the designated time to commence our canoe adventure in the stunning Tortuguero National Park. After donning our lifejackets and getting settled in our canoes, the guide will provide us with essential instructions before we set sail. Let the journey begin!

Did you know that this park is recognized as the most popular and well-preserved national park in all of Costa Rica? The array of conservation rules maintained by the locals here will surely amaze you.

As we navigate the initial stretches of the canals, keep an eye out for crocodiles lounging on the banks, appearing almost like lifelike statues! Our paddling will continue as the channels gradually narrow.

Be attentive as our guide scans the lush surroundings, the water, and the treetops. Open your eyes wide! We may encounter sloths, small bats camouflaged against tree trunks, vibrant tiny frogs, monkeys, and a spectacular variety of birds.

On our return journey, we will paddle along the opposite riverbank, providing another opportunity to observe diverse wildlife and exotic native flora in the rainforest.

After approximately 2.5 hours of exploration, we will make our way back to the original meeting point.
