On this canoeing tour around the Tortuguero National Park, we'll sail along the canals as we enter the tropical rainforest.

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the main pier in Tortuguero to begin this canoeing tour around the Tortuguero National Park. We will wear lifejackets, enter our canoes, and receive instructions from the guide before departing.

This park is noted as the most popular and best-conserved national park in all of Costa Rica. The strict regulations in place underscore its importance.

During the first part of the canals, we may spot crocodiles resting on the banks. As we continue paddling, the channels will narrow.

The guide will be surveying the surroundings carefully. Look out for sloths, bats, colorful frogs, monkeys, and various birds.

On our return journey, we'll paddle along the opposite side of the river, giving us another chance to observe more wildlife and native flora of the rainforest.

We will return to the initial meeting point after approximately 2.5 hours.
