On this canoeing tour around the Tortuguero National Park, we'll sail along the canals as we enter the tropical rainforest.

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the main pier in Tortuguero to begin the canoeing tour. After putting on lifejackets and receiving instructions from the guide, we'll set off on our adventure.

Tortuguero National Park is known as the most popular and best-conserved national park in Costa Rica, with strict local regulations preserving its natural beauty.

During the first part of the tour, we will see crocodiles resting on the banks. As we continue paddling, the canals will narrow, and the guide will look out for wildlife. Expect to spot sloths, small bats, tiny colourful frogs, monkeys, and various birds.

On the return trip, we will paddle along the opposite side of the river, offering more opportunities to view animals and the native flora of the rainforest.

The tour lasts approximately 2.5 hours, concluding back at the initial meeting point.
