On this canoeing tour around the Tortuguero National Park, we'll sail along the canals as we enter the tropical rainforest.
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the main pier in Tortuguero to begin this canoeing tour around the Tortuguero National Park. After putting on lifejackets, we will receive instructions from the guide before starting.
This is the most popular and best-conserved national park in Costa Rica. You'll encounter local regulations focused on preserving this natural area.
During the first part of the canals, crocodiles can be seen on the banks. As we paddle, the channels will narrow.
Our guide will be attentive to the surroundings, watching for sloths, small bats camouflaged on tree trunks, tiny colourful frogs, monkeys, and various birds.
On the return journey, we will paddle along the opposite side of the river, offering opportunities to observe more wildlife and exotic native flora.
We will return to the meeting point after approximately 2.5 hours.
