On this canoeing tour around the Tortuguero National Park, we'll sail along the canals as we enter the tropical rainforest.
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the main pier in Tortuguero to begin this canoeing tour. After putting on lifejackets, we will receive instructions from the guide before starting the journey.
This national park is known as the most popular and best-conserved national park in Costa Rica. There are strict local rules regarding this natural area.
During the first part of the canals, we will see some crocodiles on the banks. As we paddle further, the channels will narrow.
The guide will be watching for wildlife among the vegetation, water, and trees. We may see sloths, small bats, tiny colourful frogs, monkeys, and a variety of birds.
On our return, we will paddle along the opposite side of the river, offering more opportunities to admire animals and exotic types of native flora.
We'll return to the initial meeting point after approximately 2.5 hours.
