On this canoeing tour around the Tortuguero National Park, we will sail along the canals as we enter the tropical rainforest.
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the main pier in Tortuguero to begin the canoeing tour. After putting on lifejackets and receiving instructions from the guide, we will set off.
This park is noted for being one of the most popular and best-conserved national parks in Costa Rica.
During the first part of the tour, we may observe crocodiles along the banks. As we continue paddling, the canals will narrow.
The guide will be on the lookout for wildlife, so keep alert to see sloths, small bats, tiny colourful frogs, monkeys, and a variety of birds.
On the return trip, we will paddle along the opposite side of the river, providing more opportunities to see animals and exotic native flora.
The tour will last approximately 2.5 hours before we return to the initial meeting point.
