Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the ticket office of the Capricho de Gaudí, also known as Villa Quijano, to begin our guided tour of this famous villa in Comillas.
Before entering the building, we'll admire the decorative details of its facade, showcasing Gaudí's mastery in merging oriental, Gothic, Islamic, Nasrid, and Mudejar elements, including its impressive 20-meter-high tower.
We'll stroll through the manicured gardens and enter the villa to discover its interior decoration, featuring carved wooden furniture, colorful stained glass windows, railings with musical motifs, and ceramics.
Throughout the tour, we'll discuss the villa's history, declared an "Asset of Cultural Interest" in 1969. It is one of the few buildings designed by Gaudí outside of Catalonia and almost fell into ruins after the Spanish Civil War.
After 45 minutes of touring this unique villa, we'll say our goodbyes back outside the Capricho de Gaudí.
