Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the ticket office of the Capricho de Gaudí, also known as Villa Quijano, to start our guided tour of the famous villa in Comillas.
Before entering the building, we will admire the decorative details of its facade, showcasing Gaudí's combination of oriental, Gothic, Islamic, Nasrid, and Mudejar elements, including a striking tower that is 20 meters high.
We will stroll through the manicured gardens and enter the villa to discover its interior decoration, featuring carved wooden furniture, colorful stained glass windows, musical motif railings, and ceramics.
During the tour, we will discuss the history of the villa, declared an "Asset of Cultural Interest" (Bien de Interés Cultural) in 1969. It is notable for being one of the few buildings designed by Gaudí outside of Catalonia and for nearly falling into ruins after the Spanish Civil War.
After 45 minutes of touring this unique villa, we will conclude our visit outside the Capricho de Gaudí.
