Comillas Free Tour

On this free tour of Comillas, we'll visit the so-called 'village of the archbishops' .

Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Fuente de los Tres Caños in the Plaza Joaquín del Piélago to start our free tour of Comillas.

The tour includes visits to the New Town Hall, Ocejo House, La Portilla, Las Cavaducas, Sobrellano Palace, and Gaudi's Capricho, exploring its architectural features and connections to music.

Next, we will visit the Pontifical University, revealing details of its façade, and continue to the Modernist Residence, Cemetery, Statue of the Marquis of Comillas, House of the Duke of Almodóvar del Río, Espolón Cultural Center, Corro San Pedro, San Cristóbal Church, and the Old Town Hall.

We will pass a building that was once home to King Afonso XII. Notably, Comillas was the capital of Spain for a day. A sculpture that had to be relocated will also be highlighted.

Throughout the tour, we will discuss the connection between Comillas and cinema. The journey lasts approximately 1.5 hours and concludes in the town centre.
