On our Baradello Castle private visit, you'll learn about the history of one of Lombardy's key monuments and enjoy panoramic views of Como and its lake from the tower.

Baradello Castle Private Visit

We will meet at the scheduled time in Piazza Camerleta, close to Baradello Castle, located in Spina Verde Park atop the hill of the same name.

Upon arrival, we will explore various parts of this significant structure commissioned by Emperor Frederick Barbarossa over Byzantine ruins from the 6th century, overlooking the city and lake.

Our focus will be the square Romanesque tower, the most well-preserved structure, nearly 92 feet (28 meters) tall, providing views of Como and the lake, as well as the surrounding Alps, Po Valley, and Apennines. Remember to bring your camera!

If you select the tour with an aperitif, enjoy a selection of local snacks and a bottle of wine shared among three people while taking in the views from the terrace of the Frederick rampart.

After a 2-hour exploration of the castle, we will return to the starting point to conclude our activity.
