On our Baradello Castle private visit, you'll learn the history of a key monument in Lombardy and enjoy views of Como and its lake from the castle's tower.
Baradello Castle Private Visit
We will meet in Piazza Camerleta, close to Baradello Castle in Spina Verde Park. Upon gathering, we will explore the castle, commissioned by Emperor Frederick Barbarossa, built on Byzantine remains from the 6th century.
The highlight will be the square Romanesque tower, standing nearly 92 feet (28 meters) tall, offering views of Como and the surrounding landscape, including the Alps, Po Valley, and Apennines. Remember to bring your camera!
If you select the tour with an aperitif, enjoy local snacks and a bottle of wine for three as you take in the terrace views from the Frederick rampart.
After 2 hours at the castle, we will return to the starting point to conclude the tour.
