Day Trip Details

We'll begin our journey with a pickup from your hotel in Belo Horizonte at the scheduled time. Our destination includes two of the most significant historic cities in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais.

After approximately two hours of travel, our first destination will be the town of Ouro Preto, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In this charming city, founded in the 18th century, we'll embark on a guided tour of the historic center. During the tour, we'll visit prominent landmarks such as the Church of São Francisco de Assis and the Minor Basilica of Nossa Senhora do Pilar, both notable examples of the region's architectural heritage.

Next, you will have a one-hour break for lunch at one of the restaurants within the historic center. Following our time in Ouro Preto, we'll proceed to Mariana, which is about a 30-minute drive away. In this picturesque town, considered one of the most beautiful in Minas Gerais, we will explore several monuments from the colonial era, including the Town Hall, Old Jail, and the cathedral.

After immersing ourselves in the history of Mariana and its colonial landmarks, we'll begin the 3-hour journey back to Belo Horizonte. This complete tour will take around 9.5 to 10 hours.

The 6:30 am tour includes pickup from hotels throughout Belo Horizonte.The 7:30 am tour includes pickup from hotels located in the central area, Savassi, and Lourdes. If you're staying in other parts of the city, we'll provide a specific meeting point for pickup.
