Sabará + Congonhas Tour
The tour begins with a hotel pickup in Belo Horizonte at the scheduled time, proceeding east from the state capital.
The first destination is Sabará, where a guided tour of the historic town will take place. This walk features Dom Pedro II street, the church of Nossa Senhora do Rosário dos Pretos, and the Municipal Theatre, along with views of Nossa Senhora do Ó and Nossa Senhora do Carmo churches.
The tour continues at the Kaquende fountain, linked to a legend stating that those who drink from it will return to Sabará. A one-hour lunch break at a restaurant follows this visit.
After lunch, the journey proceeds to Congonhas to explore the local museum and the sanctuary of Bom Jesus de Matosinhos. The visit includes the Passos da Paixão, which features 66 processional steps created by renowned artists like Aleijadinho. Additionally, the Twelve Prophets sculptures, crafted by Aleijadinho, will be observed.
The return to Belo Horizonte is planned for 10 hours after the initial pickup.
