Castles, palaces, convents and streets full of charm and tradition. In this tour of Conversano and Rutigliano, we'll discover all the attractions of these two towns in the province of Bari.

Conversano & Rutigliano Tour

At the appointed time, we'll meet in front of the Conversano Castle to start the tour through this medieval town.

In front of the castle, we'll discuss the peculiarities of this Norman fortress. Inside, we'll visit the reception rooms and the wedding hall of Count Giangirolamo II Acquaviva d'Aragona, called Guecio di Puglia.

The tour continues at the Monastery of San Benedetto di Conversano, where we'll see the medieval cloister and the 17th-century arcade that houses the archaeological exhibition of the civic museum. Before moving on, we'll stop at the Conversano Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, featuring Romanesque architecture.

Following the walls of Conversano, you'll follow the guide in your own vehicle to Rutigliano, where we will walk through the historic center.

As we walk through the streets, we'll share information about the figurine tradition of Rutigliano, particularly the whistle of Rutigliano. Rutigliano is recognized as the town of terracotta whistles.

After visiting the Norman castle and the town's main noble palaces, we will conclude the tour at the meeting point in Conversano, five hours after departure.
