Los Quetzales National Park 4 Day Trek

Day 1: San Gerardo de Dota - Providencia de Dota

At 8:30 am, pickup from your hotel in San Gerardo de Dota to start the trekking route to Providencia de Dota. We will hike 12 kilometers through Los Quetzales National Park, crossing a suspension bridge over the Savegre River. After a six-hour hike, we arrive at Rivera Lodge for lunch and have free time for the afternoon. Dinner will consist of rice, beans, meat, and salad.

Day 2: Providencia de Dota - Betania

Breakfast at 5:30 am, departing the lodge at 6:30 am towards Cerro Vueltas for a 14 kilometer hike. We'll enjoy views of the river basins in Central America. A lunch wrapped in a banana leaf will be provided. After eight hours of trekking, we arrive at Betania Lodge for dinner and rest in tents.

Day 3: Betania - San Isidro de Dota

Breakfast at 5:30 am, with trekking starting at 7:30 am on a 7 km trail to San Isidro de Dota. At El Rancho de Tinamú, we meet a local family and have lunch. The day will be at leisure, concluding with dinner and relaxation.

Day 4: San Isidro de Dota - Quepos

On the last day, breakfast is at 6:30 am before our journey to Quepos. A total of 18 kilometers will be walked in 7 to 8 hours. Lunch will be provided by the Quebrada Arroyo at the Los Campesinos lodge. At 2 pm, we arrive at either Quepos or Manuel Antonio.

Accommodation

The tour includes three nights' accommodation in cabins or tents, depending on availability.
