La Serena & Coquimbo Tour

On this tour of La Serena and Coquimbo, we'll visit two historic cities on the coast of Latin America's Southern Cone.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in La Serena to start the tour. La Serena is one of the oldest cities in Chile and we'll learn key facts about the country along the route.

We'll begin in the old town of La Serena, exploring its colonial mansions. Key stops include Plaza de Armas, the Archaeological Museum, and the popular La Recova Market.

The tour continues along Avenida Francisco de Aguirre to the Open Air Museum of La Serena and the Monumental Lighthouse, a key landmark of the city.

Next, we'll drive along Avenida del Mar and Avenida Costanera towards Coquimbo, enjoying views of the El Culebrón wetland and a replica Mosque.

In Coquimbo, a walking tour of the historic center includes visits to the English Quarter and the Central Square, where discussions on indigenous people and colonization will take place.

We'll then proceed to La Herradura, stopping at Fort Lambert and the Cruz del Tercer Milenio.

Finally, we’ll visit Totoralillo Beach, allowing you some free time to relax before returning to La Serena. After approximately 6 hours, we'll conclude and return to your hotel.
