On this tour of the Valle del Encanto, we'll depart from La Serena to visit an area with traces of human life since 2000 BC.
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in La Serena and start our journey along the Costa de los Piratas towards the Valle del Encanto. An optional stop at the Limari Archaeological Museum allows you to explore archaeological pieces from the valley, showcasing 5 pre-Hispanic cultures.
Upon arrival at the Valle del Encanto, a recognized archaeological site since the 1970s due to remains over 4,000 years old, we will discuss the symbolism of the stone engravings.
You will encounter small stones with perforations, an example of rock art in Chile. This site includes some of the largest monuments of this type in the country.
After exploring the archaeological site, we'll have lunch at a typical Chilean restaurant. The tour concludes with a return to La Serena, completing this 7-hour experience at your hotel.
