Córdoba Churches Tour
At your chosen time, we'll meet at your hotel in central Córdoba. From there, we'll walk to San Martín Square and visit the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption, a main Catholic building in this province.
Inside the Cathedral, we'll observe the Renaissance decoration from colonial times, details on its barrel vault, and the impressive high altar featuring artwork made with embossed silver from Upper Peru. We'll discuss the tombs of< strong>dean Gregorio Funes and aristocrat Margarita Weild.
Near the cathedral, we'll find the Church of Saint Teresa and the Monastery of Saint José de las Carmelitas Descalzas. Our tour will continue to the Church of the Society of Jesus, the oldest church in Córdoba, which is a World Heritage Site.
The last stop will be the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, known as Los Capuchinos Church. This neo-Gothic church, built in the early 20th century, features vaults decorated with stars and art depicting the life of Saint Francis of Assisi. After 2 hours 30 minutes, our tour concludes at Los Capuchinos Church, with an option to climb the bell tower for panoramic views.
