Córdoba Jesuit Block Tour

Our tour will begin at the courtyard of the Historical Museum of the National University of Córdoba, where we'll meet at your chosen time. This institution, founded by the Society of Jesus in 1613, is the oldest university in Argentina and one of the oldest in Latin America.

In the cloister, we'll see the sculpture of Friar Fernando Trejo y Sanabria. Our visit will continue to the Salón de Grados and the Main Library, which houses an extensive collection of books.

After the UNC, we will view other significant buildings from outside, such as the Colegio Nacional de Monserrat and the Church of the Society of Jesus, which features a main altarpiece depicting St. Ignatius of Loyola and St. Francis Xavier.

We will conclude our tour by visiting the Jesuit Domestic Chapel, built in the 17th century, where we will learn about the Jesuit legacy in Córdoba. After 2 hours and 30 minutes, we'll end the tour on Colón Avenue with a visit to the Jesuit Crypt of the Old Novitiate.

Monument closures

Both the Jesuit Domestic Chapel and the Jesuit Crypt of the Old Novitiate may be closed on the day of the tour. We will ensure to visit the other sites mentioned.
