Mercado Norte and The Marquis of Sobremonte Museum Tour
At the time of your choice, we'll meet at your hotel in the centre of Cordoba and walk to the Marqués de Sobremonte Provincial Historical Museum, the oldest house in Cordoba. We'll visit the kitchen and discuss culinary customs of the colonial period, highlighting popular recipes that fuse traditional Spanish dishes with local specialties.
After the museum visit, we'll walk to the Mercado Norte to explore its stalls and learn about the province's gastronomy, which reflects influences from the colonial era. Cordoba's cuisine has been enriched by international recipes due to immigration, leading to new dishes that combine ingredients from both colonial cuisine and avant-garde gastronomy.
This 3-hour tour concludes with a tasting of products at the Mercado Norte, including cheeses, sausages, wines, and several Arab specialties.
