Calling all cycling aficionados! On this 10-day tour through Chilean Patagonia, we'll cycle the Carretera Austral Sur from Coyhaique to Caleta Tortel.

Carretera Austral Sur 10-Day Bike Tour

Day 1: Coyhaique

We start this cycling route at 4 pm at the Huella Patagonica hostel in Coyhaique. We finalize the details of the route and prepare our bikes, followed by dinner and rest at the hostel.

Day 2: Coyhaique - Villa Cerro Castillo

Following breakfast, we cycle along Chile's Route 7 through Cerro Castillo National Park, concluding the day at a hostel in Villa Cerro Castillo.

Day 3: Villa Cerro Castillo - Murta Valley

After breakfast, we cycle on rugged paths to the Laguna Verde, crossing the dead forest of the Ibañez River. A picnic lunch is included, and we camp in the Murta Valley.

Day 4: Murta Valley - Puerto Río Tranquilo

We cycle through forests and farms along the Murta River to reach Puerto Río Tranquilo, known for its marble chapels. We stay overnight at a campsite.

Day 5: Puerto Río Tranquilo - Puerto Bertrand

Starting along General Carrera Lake, we stop at General Carrera Bridge and ride to Puerto Bertrand, where we stay in a cabin.

Day 6: Puerto Bertrand - Cochrane

We cycle along the Baker River, explore unique landscapes, and hike at the confluence of the Baker and Neff rivers. We spend the night at a hostel in Cochrane.

Day 7: Cochrane - Los Ñadis

We pedal south, passing several lakes and enjoying views of Monte San Lorenzo, ending at a campsite in Los Ñadis.

Day 8: Los Ñadis - Caleta Tortel

On the last cycling day, we transition from the Patagonian steppe to the Andean forest and stay in a hostel in Caleta Tortel.

Day 9: Caleta Tortel - Coyhaique

We return by minibus to Coyhaique, expected in the late afternoon, and stay overnight at Huella Patagonica hostel.

Day 10: Coyhaique

Breakfast is included at the hostel in Coyhaique, concluding the tour.
