Cozumel is more than just white beaches and reefs. Discover the island's history with this guided tour, where you'll also try its local cuisine and famous tequila.
Cozumel Walking Tour
We'll meet at the Cozumel Military Air Base at the specified time. Accompanied by an expert guide in the history of this Mexican city, we'll visit the most iconic places in Cozumel, Mexico's third biggest island.
Cozumel is known for its impressive diving spots. While we won't be diving in the Caribbean Sea, we will admire the locations that influenced the population's development. We'll begin at the Plaza de las Dos Culturas and the Monumento al Mestizaje, where the Spanish first arrived on the island.
Throughout the tour, the guide will share details about the city's history and indigenous culture of the Yucatán peninsula. We will learn about the history of tequila and its significance to the island, with the opportunity to sample this traditional drink.
Next, we'll explore the Malecón de Cozumel pier and its various sculptures and views. One notable sculpture is the Monumento de Buzo, which represents the island's impressive underwater life.
We will then visit the Plaza Central to see the City Hall and the Cozumel Clocktower. The tour concludes with an authentic Mexican lunch at La Choza restaurant.
