Auschwitz Birkenau Day Trip
Between 6 and 8 am, pick-up from your hotel in Krakow occurs for the Auschwitz-Birkenau visit. The arrival at the camp takes just over 1 hour. As a World Heritage Site since 1979, it serves as a reminder of the Holocaust. The tour begins in the prison blocks featuring exhibitions highlighting the punishment of prisoners. Areas such as the gas chambers and cremation area reveal the regime's brutality. You'll observe the train tracks used for transporting many to the camp, where selections led to extermination or medical experiments of various groups. The visit ends with 45 minutes of free time for lunch, returning to Krakow after six and half hours.
Auschwitz Birkenau, Krakow Ghetto and Schindler's Factory
This option also begins with hotel pick-up in Krakow. A visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau will cover its tragic history, including a stop at the Judenrampe used until 1944. Around 1:30 pm, we return to Krakow for lunch at a traditional restaurant. After lunch, at approximately 2:45 pm, a private tour in English through the Krakow Ghetto follows, highlighting areas where the Jewish population was persecuted. Next, you'll visit Oskar Schindler's Factory, learning about the lives saved through Schindler's efforts before returning to your hotel.
