Travel back in time and discover some of the Polish city's most important historical sights on this World War II Tour of Krakow. Learn what life was like during this dark period of history.

Description

After meeting at St. Mary's Basilica in the centre of Krakow at the indicated time, we'll begin our World War II history tour of the Polish city.

We'll explore the Nazi occupation of Krakow and examine what happened during the Second World War, focusing on life for the city's inhabitants. Key sites include Florianska Street and Market Square, which was named after Adolf Hitler during the Nazi occupation.

We'll visit significant buildings from the Nazi era, such as the base of the Ordnungspolizei, and locations where the Armia Krajowa, or Polish resistance, operated against the Nazis. The tour also includes a stop at Collegium Novum, where a dark episode of Krakow's history will be discussed, as well as a visit to a Gestapo prison and the Katyn Cross, a symbol of Polish suffering.

We'll conclude our World War II tour of Krakow at the Grunwald Monument 2 hours after the meeting time.
