Travel back in time and discover some of the Polish city's most important historical sights on this World War II Tour of Krakow. Learn what life was like during this dark period of history.

Description

After meeting at St. Mary's Basilica in the centre of Krakow at the indicated time, we'll begin our World War II history tour of the Polish city.

We will explore how the Nazi occupation of Krakow unfolded, significant events during the Second World War, and the experiences of the city’s inhabitants at key monuments.

Crossing Florianska Street, we will reach Market Square, a notable site for both celebrations and public executions, which was renamed after Adolf Hitler during the Nazi period.

We will visit critical buildings from the Nazi occupation, such as the site of the Ordnungspolizei, and learn about the struggles of the Armia Krajowa, the Polish resistance against the Nazis.

Next, we will go to the Collegium Novum, where we will discuss one of the darkest episodes of the Second World War in Krakow. The tour will include a stop at a Gestapo prison and the Katyn Cross, symbolizing the suffering of Polish people.

We will conclude our World War II tour of Krakow at the Grunwald Monument 2 hours after meeting.
