Travel back in time and discover some of the Polish city's most important historical sights on this World War II Tour of Krakow. Learn what life was like during this dark period of history.
Description
After meeting at St. Mary's Basilica in the center of Krakow at the indicated time, we will begin our World War II history tour of the Polish city.
We will explore how the Nazi occupation of Krakow unfolded and what occurred during the Second World War, focusing on the experiences of the inhabitants.
After crossing Florianska Street, we will reach Market Square, which witnessed both celebrations and public executions and was named after Adolf Hitler during the occupation.
Our tour includes visits to key buildings from the Nazi occupation, including the location of the Ordnungspolizei and sites where the Armia Krajowa, the Polish resistance, fought.
Next, we will visit Collegium Novum, where we will discuss one of the darkest episodes in the city's wartime history. We will also stop at a Gestapo prison and see the Katyn Cross, a symbol of Polish suffering.
We will conclude our World War II tour of Krakow at the Grunwald Monument 2 hours after meeting.
