On this excursion to Cuernavaca and the Xochicalco Archaeological Site, you'll discover an important yet lesser-known archaeological site in Mexico along with the Cathedral of Cuernavaca.

Cuernavaca & Xochicalco Archaeological Site Tour

At 8 am, we will pick you up at the Sheraton Maria Isabel Hotel and proceed to Xochicalco, a hidden gem in Morelos. The site is a UNESCO World Heritage Site illustrating the Mesoamerican Epiclassic era, showcasing the growth of cities in central Mexico post-Teotihuacan decline. Xochicalco features notable pyramids and plazas worth exploring.

We will visit the Site Museum of Xochicalco to gain insights into Mayan culture. After touring the archaeological site, we will travel to Cuernavaca, where we will explore the 16th-century Franciscan cathedral, among the oldest on the continent.

After the cathedral tour, you will have 2 hours of free time for lunch at a local restaurant.

Following lunch, we will return to the meeting point in Mexico City, arriving around 6 pm.
