Cuernavaca & Xochicalco Archaeological Site Tour
Join us on an excursion to Cuernavaca and the Xochicalco Archaeological Site, where we will explore one of Mexico's significant archaeological sites and the Cathedral of Cuernavaca.
The tour begins at 8 am with a pickup at the Sheraton Maria Isabel Hotel, followed by a trip to Xochicalco, a hidden gem in Morelos. This UNESCO World Heritage Site exemplifies the Mesoamerican Epiclassic era, showcasing the emergence of cities in central Mexico after the decline of Teotihuacan. Xochicalco features impressive pyramids and plazas, making it a worthwhile visit.
During the tour, we will visit the Site Museum of Xochicalco to learn about Mayan culture. After exploring the ruins, we will proceed to Cuernavaca, where we will visit the 16th-century Franciscan cathedral, one of the oldest in the Americas.
After the cathedral visit, you will have 2 hours of free time for lunch at a local restaurant. Following lunch, we will return to the meeting point in Mexico City, with an estimated arrival time around 6 pm.
