Excursion to Cuernavaca & Tepoztlán

On this excursion from Mexico City, we'll travel to the state of Morelos to visit 2 of its important towns: the Cuernavaca Cathedral and the Magical Town of Tepoztlán.

Excursion to Cuernavaca & Tepoztlán

At 8 am we'll pick you up at your hotel Sheraton María Isabel and take a minibus to Cuernavaca.

After an hour and a half drive, we'll arrive in Cuernavaca for a guided tour of the Cuernavaca Cathedral, one of the oldest in Mexico, where we will view its 16th-century colonial architecture and the frescoes of the Franciscan order.

Next, we will head to the Magical Town of Tepoztlán, where we’ll explore its streets and learn about the legends it holds while enjoying the mountain scenery. Tepoztlán is known as the birthplace of Quetzalcoatl, the Aztec god, and we will visit the Tepozteco Archaeological Site for additional insights. The tour will also include a visit to the local market and the old Dominican Convent of the Nativity.

After the guided tour, we’ll provide 2 hours of free time for you to enjoy local cuisine and further explore Tepoztlán. We will reconvene and return to the starting point, arriving around 6 pm.
