On this excursion from Mexico City, we'll travel to the state of Morelos to visit two important towns: the Cuernavaca Cathedral and the Magical Town of Tepoztlán.

Excursion to Cuernavaca & Tepoztlán

At 8 am, we'll pick you up at Sheraton María Isabel? hotel and travel by minibus to Cuernavaca, the capital of Morelos. After a drive of an hour and a half, we'll arrive and take a guided tour of the Cuernavaca Cathedral, one of the oldest in the country, notable for its 16th-century colonial architecture and unique frescoes associated with the Franciscan order.

Subsequently, we will proceed to the Magical Town of Tepoztlán, located amidst mountains. We'll explore its streets and learn the legends of the town, including the fact that Tepoztlán is considered the birthplace of Quetzalcoatl, the Aztec god. This section includes a visit to the Tepozteco Archaeological Site, along with the market and the old Dominican Convent of the Nativity.

After the guided tour, you'll have 2 hours of free time to enjoy Mexican cuisine at a local restaurant and continue exploring Tepoztlán. Finally, we will regroup and return to the starting point, with an expected arrival around 6 pm.
