Allow yourself to be seduced by the authentic tastes of Mexican food on this tour through the heart of Mexico City, where you'll visit a local market to learn all about the essential ingredients.

Mexico City Food Tour

The tour meets at the main entrance to the Palace of Fine Arts in Mexico City at 1:20 pm, ready to explore Mexican food.

First, we'll take the subway to Jamaica Market, where vibrant stalls and unique aromas await. We will explore the market, which opened in the 50s, weaving among kiosks filled with flowers, nuts, vegetables, sweet treats, and piñatas. Participants can find high-quality traditional kitchen utensils and potential souvenirs.

Next, the tour includes a tasting of exotic fruits like carambola, mamey, or chicozapote, served with cheese and mole. The tour guide will explain how to eat and prepare these delicacies in traditional Mexican style, ensuring cultural immersion.

Additionally, you will learn about the properties of healing plants and local alternative medicine in the capital, along with the meanings of various flowers, many of which have edible varieties.

At 5:30 pm, the Mexico City food tour concludes.
