Mexico City Mural Tour
At the indicated time, we'll start our tour of Mexico City's murals in the Plaza de Santo Domingo (in front of the Domingo Santo Hotel), located two streets away from the Plaza de la Constitución.
From this central point, we'll walk to the Secretariat of Public Education building to admire Diego Rivera's famous murals, covering over 3,200 square feet (300 square metres). We will discuss Mexican history, culture, and traditions through these images.
Next, we'll visit the museum of the Antiguo Colegio de San Ildefonso, housing works by artists such as José Clemente Orozco, Jean Charlot, and Diego Rivera.
Afterwards, we'll go to the Palace of Fine Arts museum, where we'll see notable murals, including "Man Controller of the Universe" by Diego Rivera and "Katharsis" by José Clemente Orozco. We will also view other significant works by David Alfaro Siqueiros, González Camarena, Roberto Montenegro, and Rufino Tamayo.
Our tour will conclude 3.5 hours later, at the Alameda Central.
