Mineral del Chico Day Trip

At 7:45 am, we will meet outside the Sheraton Maria Isabel Hotel to board a minibus for a two-hour journey to Mineral del Chico. We will pass through Chico National Park, one of the oldest parks in Mexico, where we can admire a variety of trees from America and Europe.

Upon arrival, we will take a guided tour of the mining town, walking through the streets to see monuments like the neoclassical Iglesia de la Purísima Concepción church.

On our way to visit one of the mines, we will see the Casa de las Brujas and the Montaña de las Monjas. The peculiar names of these sites will be explained during the tour.

We will venture over a kilometer inside the mine to learn about the daily life of the miners.

After the mine visit, we will return to the village to explore its famous gastronomic market and enjoy a well-deserved lunch, recommending the 30-centimetre quesadillas.

At the end of the trip, we will board the minibus to return to Mexico City, arriving by around 6 pm.
