Mineral del Chico Day Trip

At 7:45 am we'll meet outside the Sheraton Maria Isabel Hotel to board a minibus and set off on a two-hour journey to Mineral del Chico. Along the way, we will pass through Chico National Park, allowing us to admire the diverse trees from various parts of America and Europe.

Upon arrival, we will embark on a guided tour of the mining town, viewing significant sites such as the neoclassical Iglesia de la Purísima Concepción church.

During our visit to the mine that gives the village its name, we will observe sites like Casa de las Brujas and Montaña de las Monjas, which translate to the House of the Witches and the Mountain of the Nuns.

We will explore over a kilometer inside the mine to learn about the daily life of the miners.

After the mine visit, we will return to the village to explore its gastronomic market and enjoy lunch, with the recommended 30-centimetre quesadillas among the many choices available.

At the end of the trip, we will board the minibus for our return to Mexico City, arriving by around 6 pm.
