This day trip from Mexico City takes you to Mineral del Chico, a charming mining village surrounded by lush forests. Departing at 7:45 am from Sheraton Maria Isabel Hotel, a two-hour journey leads us through Chico National Park, known for its diverse trees from America and Europe.

Upon arrival, a guided tour of the town includes visits to landmarks like the neoclassical Iglesia de la Purísima Concepción church. Explore the Casa de las Brujas and the Montaña de las Monjas before heading to a local mine, delving over a kilometre inside to learn about miners' daily lives.

Returning to the village, a stop at the gastronomic market offers a variety of local products, with the 30-centimeter quesadillas being a recommended choice for lunch. The trip concludes with a return to Mexico City by around 6 pm.
