Tolantongo Caves Excursion

Excursion Details

At the time indicated, we'll meet at Hostel Amigo in Mexico City and travel towards the famous Grutas Tolantongo in Hidalgo. The trip by minibus will take approximately four hours.

Upon arrival, you'll have about five hours of free time to relax and enjoy this natural spa located at an altitude of nearly 4,200 feet (1,280 meters) above sea level. The venue features a 1,640-foot deep canyon (500 meters) with waterfalls creating turquoise pools and views of the surrounding mountains, along with characteristic vegetation such as yuccas, mesquites, nochebuenas, and cacti.

During your time, you can walk through a tunnel in the rocks, bathe in a cave, stroll along the Tolantongo River, or relax in the Hidden Paradise section. A suspension bridge offers stunning views of the grotto.

At the end, we'll return to the vehicle and start our way back to Mexico City, concluding the excursion at the starting point after 14 hours.
