Excursion Details

We will meet at Hostel Amigo in Mexico City and travel to the Grutas Tolantongo in Hidalgo, approximately a four-hour minibus ride.

Upon arrival, you'll have about five hours of free time to relax and enjoy this natural spa located at nearly 4,200 feet (1,280 meters) above sea level, featuring a stunning 1,640-foot deep canyon (500 meters) with waterfalls creating turquoise pools and views of surrounding mountains. You can also observe vegetation such as yuccas, mesquites, nochebuenas, and cacti.

Activities include walking through a tunnel in the rocks, swimming inside a cave, strolling along the Tolantongo River, enjoying a bath in the Hidden Paradise section, and crossing a suspension bridge for breathtaking views.

The experience concludes with a return journey to Mexico City, finishing at the starting point after a total of 14 hours.
